I house trained my golden retriever using a method from a book which suggests you line the puppy’s enclosure, not a crate, with newspaper. Most puppies will pick a favorite spot eventually, and you then start removing newspapers until only that spot is papered. Molly’s private space was HUGE since she had her own play room. I ended up having to raid the dumpsters where papers are recyled. (Hey, I recycled them under my puppy.) My mom’s elderly friends found this so funny that they started bringing theirs to me to “keep me from a life of crime.”

I never owned an iguana, but I guess it’s awfully expensive to use sand, gravel, and rocks.

Agreed, asking Mom would be a much wiser choice!

When I was a teenager, I was a sports nut. I could tell you team rosters and batting averages and who was “hot” and who was in a slump.
Now I can’t even name all the teams.
