oh, Andy, you think oatmeal is too fattening (specially topped with walnuts/dates/raisins)?

Let me guess… Sugarless wheatmeal with fat-free soy milk? (deluxe raisins option on sundays) Andy is always surpassing herself. Thank Goodness for this greasy spoon on their way to work/school!

Change the fried eggs to scrambled (especially if it’s my daughter’s scrambled eggs), hold the hash browns & salt…and that’s what I want for breakfast! Also add a small glass of OJ & a cup of nice, hot tea.

Chewy bacon? YUCK. Chewy bacon is bacon that hasn’t finished cooking. Crispy bacon is the ONLY way to go.

You never read in a menu sandwich description “with 2 pieces of chewy bacon”. It’s always “with 2 pieces crisp bacon”.

I love this working from home. I used to NOT eat breakfast because it just did not fit into my schedule. Now I am on a medication which should be taken in the morning with a meal (like, duh, what meal would that be).

So now breakfast is some sort of fruit with cottage cheese, yogurt or cheese sticks, depending on the type of fruit. I get to eat it while attending my 9 AM meeting. I am NOT on camera and I rarely have to unmute to participate.

At least I am out of my pajamas by this time … and in my shorts and T-shirt or sweats depending on the season.

One downside to working at home is lunch. I used to brownbag it, so portion control was a lot easier. If it wasn’t there, I couldn’t eat it. Now, I still eat the same healthy things, but I make it up as I go along.

Nonetheless, I am still down a couple of pounds compared to pre-pandemic.

Close to what I eat every morning, really close, only difference mine is flavored oatmeal plus few other health cereal. Minus yuk what Roger was dreaming.

Another reason that I cook the breakfasts. I love eggs & bacon and sometimes keto toast (Aldi’s). On occasion we will have Chaffles which I prepare ahead of time and freeze. These are egg and sharp cheddar cheese waffles. I make a batch of 16 and freeze them in packs of 2. Take out, thaw for 10 minutes while dressing, put on the nuwave grill, add two slices of cooked bacon on top and a slice of baby swiss on top. Heat till cheese is melted – perfect breakfast.

“Chewy” bacon? I prefer nearly burnt to a crisp myself.

His dream breakfast is what I often have and turns out to be rather healthy. As for oatmeal, %$& oatmeal, would not even feed it to my hens. My hens love frogs, slugs, mice, and snails when they catch them. Glad my hens are not much bigger or humans might be on the menu.
