Phantom – Good idea. But we’ll have to wait until Monday to see E. Chesley’s reaction to P’s reasonably polite request.. Mark Trail – The plot is going to thicken once the sheriff has to search for who actually stole the merchandise and then tried to frame John. But Mark needs to be corrected – the crimes weren’t “robberies,” they were burglaries. If they were robberies, there would be witnesses. Rex Morgan – there are a lot of medical issues in the Foster Woods storyline (paying the price of lifestyle choices, transplants between spouses, etc.). But what’s going on with Summer Knight’s 8 a.m. interview? Apt. 3-G – they still look like twins to me.

FoxTrot – The fingerprint isn’t yours (Huella no es tuya). Told ya (Te lo deje). Jose en Miami – just caught an ad in the Miami Herald’s Weekend insert that “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” will be playing in Miami the last weekend in July (in Spanish with English translation). I’ve seen this show several times (not recently) and would love to go – but it’s quite a long drive. JOSE EL SONADOR

If you scroll over the words in red, an ad for a game site and other things pops up, sometimes loosely related.A3G – LuAnn will think this proves her psychic reading, but does it?JP – Emma’s still thinking about jumping. Will the judge try to stop her physically, if it comes to that?Rex – Doctors often do hospital rounds very early in the morning. Maybe he leaves the hiring up to June.MW – a bend in the road.Phantom – Short and to the point.Foxtrot – Marcus is still acting guilty.

It’s after 8:00 a.m. and no FT Espanol strip, so I’ll just comment here. Phantom – the Nomad (Eric Sahara) is bound for the U.S. I wonder what’s up. Mary Worth – An optional career change into sales in the current economy? I guess there’s no Great Recession in Mary-land. Rex Morgan – As I recall, Mabel is Foster’s ex-wife. I was hoping to see a clock on the wall (e.g. panel 3); is it 8:00 a.m. yet (time for Summer’s interview)? Mark Trail – there used to be a KAPOK TREE RESTAURANT in what was then the wilderness west of Fort Lauderdale (Davie, FL). Apt. 3-G – The Comics Curmudgeon has picked up on the possibility that Paul and Lu Ann are brother and sister! "So I hope you’ll understand that I have to request that you and your brother Paul refrain from physical relations, as that would be disgusting.” Here’s the link; scroll down to 7/1 posting. Here’s a link to some background on the stone-age cave-man hero (Alley Oop), who joined the modern world when he found a 20th Century time machine operated by Doc Wonmug. The strip began in 1932 (real time) and Oop & girlfriend Ooola found the time machine in 1939. The current storyline of the space module landing on Earth 2, which appears to still be in the dinosaur/cave-man era should be fun (A.O. should feel right “at home”)! ALLEY OOP ON TOONOPEDIA Alley Oop is on Gocomics.

None of the words that I get.are colored. You bring back memories when you talk about the KAPOK TREE RESTAURANT or Inn. I had forgotten all about them. We had gone to the one on the west coast in 1980 and went to see the one you are talking about. We still have the glasses you got when you had one of their signature drinks somewhere in the house. I can’t remember the name of it.

Thanks for the info. I forgot about the Kapok Tree. It was growing inside as I recall. The one you are talking about was out in the “boonies.” We drove out there just to see what it looked like when we were in Ft; L’ The west coast one was near St. Pete. I probably have pics of both of them but only God knows were they are. Not in an album, that’s for sure. I also remember Rosie O’Grady’s in Orlando. Loved that place. Time really goes fast and when you’re my age, it goes even faster..
