    @peterhuppertz

    How would YOU have answered it?

    Mrs. Olsen: “That’s a good question. Find the answer and have a two page report on my desk in the morning.”

    Can’t give him too much time, the school year is almost over.

    As long as the subject is allergies…

    In case there are any sufferers here who haven’t already heard, Nasacort is now OTC. And there are coupons available everywhere, good for $2, $4, or $5.

    I’m through playin’ shill, now. (Hats off to Minnie Pearl.)

    A lot of recent research suggests that allergies come from insufficient exposure to dirt, germs and environmental bacteria during early childhood, when the immune system is learning to distinguish “self” from “other.” And then possibly made worse by over-use of antibiotics, which decimate the body’s intestinal biome.

    You’d think, after having him in third grade for thirteen years, that Mrs. Olsen would have a good comeback or two.

    The god you believe in is the one that rules your life. We just have to be so careful when we choose.

    It’s a type I hypersensitivity reaction, mediated by IgE cross-linking on mast cells for the release of preformed granules that make life unpleasant!

    “Caulfield getting full of himself?” Sorry, Frazz, that ship has left the harbor and is disappearing over the horizon.
