Growing up back in the late fifties we would catch June bugs (the big shiny green ones) and tie a string to one of their legs. We’d fly them like a kite. Until of course there was the eventual leg separation from its body. FYI June bug legs don’t fly worth a darn.

puggles: My dictionary defines June bugs as “the May beetle”, which is probably why they first show up in April.
