Like having kids! I kid, I kid.

The first makes sense to make sure the books are not cooked and know the weekly / monthly balance , but the second makes less sense.

No matter how you slice it, you are still responsible for your own matters.

I was briefly considering hiring a cleaning company to come in once or twice a week but then I realized that by the time I start tidying up before their visit that the house is pretty much clean by then. Only things left to do are dust, sweep, and mop which are the easiest chores on the list! The hard part is picking up toys and clothes and putting them away (something most cleaning companies won’t do unless you put those items in a pile on the bed or something).

I always straighten up before the housekeepers get here. They do a thorough deep cleaning, and I want to get the clutter out of their way. Besides, it gives me the opportunity to keep the clutter under control.

Clean up, put away???

It’s probably a good idea to avoid having an accountant who’s a no account.

You need to do both these things. The accountant can’t do your taxes if you haven’t kept the information. The housekeeper can’t clean if there’s clutter all over everything. Or she could, I guess, it just would take her twice as long and she’d charge you twice as much. Housekeepers are hired to clean, not pick up your junk and put it away.
