Red Rock Canyon near LV is an awesome place for a day hike. Climb up Turtle Head Peak and see LV from above! The Railroad Tunnel Trail from Lake Mead to Hoover Dam is also quite interesting.
I know we went through all of this yesterday, but I resent the reputation portrayed here of my city. Las Vegas’ only difference from every other big city in the country is that the major industry is gaming. The resorts have theme parks, aquariums, restaurants, shows and I’ve even been to a miniature golf course inside the Rio. It is all centered around the casinos, but casinos are not inherently bad.
What is bad is addiction. A gambling addict should not set foot into a casino. (just as an alcoholic should not take even one drink) The rest of us budget for entertainment. If we enjoy playing the slots or a little blackjack as that entertainment, how is that different from choosing to see a movie or attending a sports game? Yes, the lure of getting more money is there, but as long as you stay within what you budgeted, where is the harm? If you choose to exceed that budget, it is not the fault of the casino owners and does not make them bad people.
For gosh sakes, just take the path of least resistance primrose path which widens into the primrose path and find it winds up in Perdition. What could be easier!!!
I don’t know what it says about me thata) I’m good with directions and navigation; andb) I’m bad enough with directions and navigation that I’ve had a lot of experience getting really good at finding my way home after I get, as the terminology goes, absolute butt-lost.
It works out. Some of the best places I’ve been, literally and figuratively, have either been unnamed and way off any path, or on the way back from there.

Den of iniquity. They didn’t give you the whole name. And I dunno what an ashtray has to do with it.

Maybe they’re using the wrong map. I heard lots of people are being led astray. Maybe the government is doing some secret reasearh there.

Ask David Byrne, he’ll tell you ’We’re on the Road to Nowhere’.

So much left to know,
And I’m on the road to find out."

There also is a road paved with ‘good Intentions’ that leads to a well known location that is not on any map. Or so I’ve been told.

Kid’s gonna be real confused if he finds the Road to Perdition and learns it’s in Michigan.

Perdition… such an excellent word! It has an 1800’s old-west feel, but is very cool.

I like how Frazz is a janitor and not even a teacher. I wish I had someone like that at school.
