Idea, Fred–take mum and dad to pub for bangers, then enjoy their roast after you get back!

You don’t leave meat to “rest” with a pet in the house!

One wonders…who occupies the Basset ‘dog house?’

my mom once left a roast thawing on the counter. she told my brother to make sure all the chaira were pushed in to the table so the dog couldn’t reach it. He forgot and the dog got the roast. She unwrapped it from the aluminum foil and ate part of it. We found the rest of it “buried” in the couch way down between the arm of the couch and the bottom. To this day we still don’t know hwo she got it in there.

My dog would not be looking at it and thinking. It would be loooooooong goooooooooone.

So true, you would think they would know better by now. But then we wouldn’t have these funny comics…. Fred sure is a naughty one! ;) Maybe if she’d left it on the stove it would be safer….That’s what I do. However, it’s safe from the dog, but not the cats!

How can Fred get up and reach the roast beef on the counter or table? Pulling the chair and jumping on the chair to reach the roast beef on counter or table? Tch! Fred will be in trouble for reaching the roast beef.

Time to rest in Fred’s stomache
