Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Shall we try a color wash or maybe dry brushing? Rag rolling? Stippling? Sponging? Marbling would look rather nice! Can't we just stick with Magnolia?! He's not the experimental type!
One thing I’ve learned in my married life(45+)is that women are never satisfied with the ‘status quo’. For some reason, they have this compulsion to change things(moving furniture to several different positions to end up back as it was) ! ! !
I do the painting and decorating in our house. Otherwise, it would be bland.
Our living room was sponge painted. Sponge painting takes a long time. First I had to cover the previous paint with a cream paint. Then I had to sponge on the a peach paint and after that dried sponge on a gray paint. The color scheme is peach, gray and cream with gray carpeting.
Our master bedroom and bath is in burgundy, cream and forest green. The wall have wall paper that give it a venetian plaster look. The room has pictures of Italian scenes.
The hall bath has wallpaper that looks like vertical boards an old fishing shed. The border has manatees and tropical fish. The polished brass towel rods have sea shell supports. The light switches have tropical fish. There’s a vertical mirror that matches the switchplates with white sconces on each side. In the separate vanity area, there’s a fish net with a starfish, shells and an urchin glued to it.
One bedroom had grass cloth with a border with giraffes, zebras and an African print. There’s also two dark bronze sconces with an elephant, zebra and giraffe on them. The curtains have lions, gazelles, zebras, giraffes and elephants on them and are hung up on the rod with jaguar, giraffe and zebra hooks. The trim is a light tan. This is referred to as “The African Room.” Another room has a fall theme.
I plan on redoing the dining room to make it look like you’re inside a gazebo.
It seems that she’s always wanting him to do stuff like this in addition to doing the yard work. That’s not right. She should do more than just cook, clean and laundry. If she wants painting done, she should do it.

If it’s not broke, don’t fix it.

With that attitude, I’m sure women would be much happier without you.

She should do the work. Then she will get what she wants and it will be done the way she wants it. He can do the yard work.
