I recently attended a party at a home where the owner had 2 dogs. A guest at the party brought his non service dog. It really caused quite a bit of trouble. I don’t understand why some people feel the need to bring their dogs with them EVERYWHERE they go. I have 2 cats. If someone shows up with their non service dog, they and the dog will not be welcome.
They seem concerned rather than angry. I think I’d be the latter. You don’t need to take your dog with you everywhere just because you can! But this gives them a reason to put her off! “Sorry, our Fred doesn’t do well with Brutus…”
My cousin’s dog Bruno is very anti social against other dogs and she put up with it until one day she had an emergency and had to leave him with my SIL who has 4 tow large ones and two small. My SIL had my cousin bring the crate where Bruno was put and my SIL bought out her Husky (they are non territorial and Koda has a sweet disposition) then she let Bruno out who is 1/3 the size, they both sniffed each other and even sat together when we were having lunch. Bruno went back in the crate and she let the other 3 out then left the door to the crate open. Bruno finally comes out but stays close to the husky for a while. When he finally decides to let his guard down he let the German Shepherd Lulu sniff him then the other two small dogs came near though they kept their distance. All is good now.

I would never bring a pet to someone’s house unless they specifically said it was ok.

Mrs. Bennet should not be bringing her dog unless her hosts have invited her to do so. Which they clearly haven’t.
