For some reason they do, though, and I never watched them when I was a kid. I didn’t like being scared. I know some people like it and some people don’t get scared. We’re all different, but Fred, you are safe at home with the Dears, and they would never let anyone or anything hurt you. Shhhh. Try to sleep. It will be better in the a.m.
Watch the Wolfman late one night. Our J. Russel couldn’t get my attention, so walked along the back of the sofa and stuck his nose into my ear just as wolfie was changing. Hilarity ensued.
At first, I thought you had been watching the late night news OR had just come back from a walk in the big city. Seems to be the same the world over with the rats and mad scientists etc. Though most of us do call them politicians and WHO or WMA members. js
If I watched something scary, it didn’t matter if it was daytime or dead of night. I was 12 when The Omega Man came out (for the uninitiated, that’s one of the lame film versions of Richard Matheson’s very good novel I Am Legend). I saw it in the daytime, but still got freaked out by the guys in the black robes, with the white hair and pale skin and eyes. Slept with a nightlight for a couple of years after that.

Fred you probably don’t want to see the scene in Jurassic Park: The lost world where the Tyrannosaur has dog kennel hanging from his mouth.

Poor Fred. He really shouldn’t watch movies which influence him so much.

Spouse and I watched “The Birds” a couple of days ago….. A 1963 classic.
Better than most of the current TV offerings of today.

Before I got to that last panel, it seemed like a commentary about our pending election here across the pond.

Watched a classic Doctor Who, The Talons of Weng-Chiang, last night that had rats the size of buffalo in it. That would give you nightmares!
