    I didn’t want my food touching either when I was young and if I had three different things on my plate, I would eat all of one thing, then move on to the other. :)

    Calamity Jane: Mexican? It is their tradition. The whole idea of the combination platter came about when El Fenix in Dallas ran out of separate dishes in the early 1920s.

    I loved the scene from Monk, late in the series, when his dad was giving a deep heart-to-heart, and Monk says, “It’s touching,” and Dad thinks he’s really growing in his ability to relate—until Adrian points out his food is touching…
