@Night-Gaunt49 from yesterday’s strip… you’re welcome :o).@Afficionado also from yesterday’s strip… Thanks … and a Merry Christmas to you too… :o) Re: the skills… the ones you seem to have forgotten about… just because you may not make use of them, doesn’t mean you don’t have them ;o).As for today’s strip… not wise to give Nate a gift for whose care and upkeep they will ultimately remain responsible… unless, of course, they would like a dog for the family, and know what they’d be letting themselves in for…
If they do decide to get him a pet, hopefully they’ll give him the leash, bowls, bed, etc. for Christmas, then adopt an animal in the New Year, so he can let the right animal choose him…
good thing now is many of the pet stores have rescues availablewas just in a local petco and they had, up for adoption, rabbits, cats, mice, hamsters and guinea pigs – all from the local shelterthis is aside from the adoption events for cats and dogs they hold

Now there’s a gift that keeps on giving – and taking – and chewing your slippers.

I guess Nate wants a dog just like Nate Wright from “Big Nate” wants. Speaking of last names what are the family’s last names?

Oh, yes! It would be nice if they adopted from a shelter instead of buying from a pet shop! Now, that’s a good Christmas message!

Hear, hear, Slywlf! Not only would you rescue an orphaned pet, but you’re liable to get a healthier one, too.

I really hate her haircut. She looks like Sonic the Hedgehog (am I dating myself?)
