Yea, life will always happen even when you’re not connected. Why do some feel the need to be constantly in touch with those not even in the same room? Then you have those who who are too____________ (add your favorite) to turn off or set to vibrate when at a wedding/library, etc. Glad I still don’t own one.
I didn’t buy a cell phone until 3 years ago, and that was ONLY because it was an emergency.I still don’t have a Facebook page. And no, I’m not getting one, EVER.
Cell phones can be great, but only if they’re carried with you. My husband sometimes gets lost trying to drive home … but does he remember his cell phone to call me? Hahahaha…
I got my first cell in 1995, and I wouldn’t be without one. I have had a smart phone for a couple of years, and I love it. I’m not one to always be yakking on the phone or even texting, but I found the gadget to be extremely useful. Yep, I could go back to the old days, but I have no desire to do so. Oh, I’m 55 and remember when people had one rotary dial phone in the house, and that was on a party line. I wouldn’t go back to that for the world.
First pager was in the late 70’s. First mobile phone was hard wired in my car in 1985. Then the company wanted me to carry a 10 pound lump when I was away from the car. Retired and made it about 10 years without an electronic leash. My phone rings, I answer it, maybe…. Tried to call my wife the other day, and she left her cell at home. Oh well………….
