My Granny lived with my parents before I was born, and was always there til they had to put her in care home when they couldn’t lift her when she fell. My father adored her (Mama’s mother), as we all did. Granny was an awesome cook, and it was wonderful to grow up with her there :)
Daddy was an amazing person as well, how many men will take their mother-in-law on a honeymoon trip across the country with them? He and Mama made the drive from Missouri to Maryland a honeymoon trip. Granny did go and stay with her other daughter time to time as well, but always came home to us .. I miss her

In this case I am on mom’s side. Liz is not my favorite person, but her mother can outdo her on many occasions.

This is a compromise Liz could have made… Say mom cooks Tuesdays and Sundays, anything she wants…minus the sh1tty comments.
