PS Teresa— the prop letter from Leave It to Beaver was excellent work by you. Cornelia Rayburn ( the purported signator ) was of course the name of Beaver’s school principal on the show.
Margueritem,
Thanks for the nudge in the right direction. To be honest I caught the Silence of the Lambs references. That’s what bothered me. I really enjoyed the Thomas Harris books, right up until “Hannibal”. That book crossed the line. The way Lecter not only consumed his victims physically but emotionally as well. A true cannibal, on so many levels. I really enjoy reading, and have read a WIDE variety of work, but Hannibal was one I did not enjoy. It was written too well, it made me empathize with Lecter, something I did not enjoy. I actually took the book back to Walden and got my money back.
So please, don’t fear. I don’t dislike our dear Teresa. I enjoy her work and consider her a clever, talented and gifted person, whose work I enjoy and look forward to. Just because I did not enjoy Sundays comic won’t change my opinion and appreciation for her work. Consider my initial response as an involuntary and allregic reaction to an unpleasant stimulus.
And now I’ve got Lecter on the brain again, and that’s just WRONG. Yuck.

My cat only pretends to like me when she’s hungry. Fortunately, she’s hungry almost constantly.

Cats rarely pretend to like, period. Is Underwear Man wearing a string bikini?!

I believe it’s a thong.

Looks like a breechcloth to me. Maybe he’s got some Choctaw blood? Definitely a Choctaw mustache!

“Muffin-top” was also a Hannibal Lecter reference.
