Not everyone is lucky enough to be able to say that. When I was lying in a hospital bed overseas, back from the brink after an emergency appendectomy, my devilish friends delighted to visit and tell jokes, because they liked to see my reaction: it only hurt when I laughed!
Re: Cursive… my school still teaches it and my kids are learning it, but in my heart I know it’s a dead skill on life support. There just isn’t a practical reason for it. But I didn’t want my kids to be the first generation that can’t do it at all. :)
What’s the difference between a chicken and Teresa?[Hint: The answer is a word that becomes its own antonym by subtracting the third letter of a common teacher’s aid that means the same as a calendar term but sounds like an alternate pronunciation of the middle syllable of one of the United States of Ushindi.](dn ʇıɥs ʇɐɥʇ ǝpɐɯ ʇsnɾ ı) :ɹǝʍsuɐ
I recently read an article supporting the use of cursive writing and a defense of the necessity of teaching it to kids. Seems it helps to hardwire knowledge and build connections in the brain in a way that keyboarding doesn’t. That’s why a handwritten list helps more to remember the steps of a solution, items to be purchased or accomplished, etc. It was speculated that only if we could incorporate actual writing on a computer-the way some of the newer white board computer screens do- would the impact on brain wiring and connections be as great, FWIW #Nairebis#
My friend’s a teacher and this is the first year they stopped teaching cursive writing at her school. But I saw cursive writing at a historical museum last month – I thought it was great, and I want to do a little myself.

BTW, did I ever mention that I love teddy bears?

Yes, once I had broken three ribs, and as Sysyphos has intimated, it’s not a wise idea to be struck by a laughing fit when one is in convalescence.

Dark…and possibly deeper than I realized at first reading. It’s worth at least a 3 (at least on the four hours sleep I got last night)…

The Hotpoint Difference seems to put a crick in both Mom’s and Sissy’s necks.
And, true story: “Weird Al” Yankovic opened his “Running with Scissors” tour on this date (July 19) in 1999, in Green Bay, Wisc.

Since Depardieu is French, isn’t he also legally required to have a lit cigarette somewhere on his person?

Re Brightness in the OMO pillow cases, they say that adding bluing to white will actually make the white, whiter.
