It’s rare that I encounter anything in the world of kaiju that I didn’t already know about, so those pachimon cards on the blog were an unexpected delight.
The Drowning Response entry on the blog: Thanks so much for posting that, Teresa. I’ve lived for many years just a half mile from the ocean, and have been swimming with my kids and others’ kids, and never knew what drowning really looked like. It gave me a cold feeling in my gut to see the video of the kid drowning. That could’ve been mine.
Another movie/novel cliche’ that the video kills: You don’t have to knock out a drowning victim to save him, nor will he pull you under.

You can continue eating rat and Jell-o sandwiches… or you can come home with me and eat chicken?/turkey?/.

I’m coming home with you, sweetheart – the rats are getting scarce in my neighborhood, and I’m hungry.
