I pledge allegiance to the underworld,One nation under dog there of which I stand alone,A face in the crowd, unsung, against the mold,Without a doubt,Singled out,The only way I know…..
Okay, I recognize the quote from the story of Jesus and the rich young man; a story much deeper than it appears on the surface. But I don’t see the point in inserting the word “dog” after every word. I understand that sometimes the quirkiness is just there for it’s own sake, but this seems more puerile (or should I say “puellalile” since T is a woman?) than quirky.
awesome? you mean like Niagra falls or the grand canyon, or the view of the earth from the space station, or the planet Jupiter??oh, you mean a comic strip.yeah, awesome. that’s the word
“Sell all you have and follow Me”, Jesus told the rich man. But the rich man became very sorrowful and walked away for he had great possessions. Jesus told His disciples: “It is easier for a camel to enter the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter heaven.”
Looking back at my comment, I see that it was mean-spirited. I’ve jumped on others for dismissing a comic because they were too dumb to understand it. I’m still too dumb to understand this one, but it’s no excuse for such language. I’ll leave it up as a lesson to all, unless asked to take it down.
Hey! When did this dog show up? Dog gone, indeed! Is it a nice doggy? ‘Cause I wouldn’t want to dismiss a nice doggy. Save that for mean curs. Ya know?
Reminds me of a tongue twister. Try this one (reading aloud):.This is this catThis is is catThis is how catThis is to catThis is keep catThis is an catThis is idiot catThis is busy catThis is for catThis is forty catThis is seconds cat.Now go back and read the THIRD word of every line, starting from the top. Betcha can’t resist passing it on.

Believe this is more like the rantings of a cat.

@RayC There is no more powerful example than a person willing to notice something that does not serve them and make the required change. Well said.

Love the cats. That’s Saul Steinberg’s artwork, but whether original or a clever copy I can’t be sure.
