I hasten to assure you that not one of the panic buttons is extra. Each one serves a specific purpose. True, some may never need to be pressed, but their existence is justified by the possibility of their some day being required for use. In fact, there are still plans in place to create more, awaiting only the funding to do so. Once disaster is in progress, it is too late to go back and install the necessary specific panic button that would alert people with the proper skills and training to attend that specific disaster in a timely manner.There are another 3,752 pages justifying the panic buttons, but I suppose you have read enough and now readily agree.
