Really need the dung of a larger herbivore to make it work.

Not much to work with in the dung of a carnivorous scavenger.

All this jolted my memory and I thought of one of my first computer games – Dung Beetles on the Apple II

No need for the use of a sandwich bag as a lifting device, just leave the dung beetle’s meal in your neighbour’s neighbor’s yard. Likewise, random spots of fertilizer will help their thatching lawn..

I yield to the sacred scarab, the dung beetle, whose need is greater than mine for a freshly-deposited turd!

It makes one want to reflect on The Meaning of Life and similar questions. Then, one can shout at one’s opponent, “you’re full of scata!” What a topic of the day!
