Took me a while, but Davis made a mistake … it last panel is “You’re Mic’d” as Mic is the short form of Microphone and there’s there ‘e’, so Mic’d is how we do it in the audio world (or at least, in Toronto)
Although mic’d (that’s one of those verbalized nouns, BTW) is technically correct, miked (small “M”) is accepted usage in non-technical forums. (fora). In this instance, since the entire text is upper case, it would be OK.
(or Okay…)
For the uninitiated:
“You’re miked” = “You’re wearing a microphone” or “Your microphone is now on. (live, hot, etc…)”
Usually in sound reinforcement, sometimes in recording, almost never in broadcasting, at least by the techs. We use hand signals and blinky lights so the folks at home aren’t distracted by the technology.

Odie barked. A lot. Just not every time he showed up. It’s speaking (so to speak) that I can’t recall him doing.

The last strip that had Odie was June 19. Wow thats about a month without Odie.

A month without Odie. Please, I need my Odie fix.
I’ve seen Odie bark a number of times. He scares Garfield enough that Garfield ends-up clinging to the ceiling.

Wait! He uses something with a volume knob instead of a mixer with linear sliders??
Justice22 over 14 years ago
I like knobs better. Especially on my girlfriends.

@ Llewellenbruce Well he has, actually a few times. In the earlier strips he hasn’t barked as much as in the newer ones.
