Way to go, Odie. Dug the hole without reach of your bone. How about giving him a hand, Garfield? No, you can’t bury him along with it.
For whatever reason, this strip really has the look and feel of Davis’ days on US Acres. That’s been gone a mighty long time.
He dug like he was burying a dinosaur bone.

At least he has a pit to put it in. If he was a snake, he’d have a pit to hiss in.
That would be me. I’ve often done stuff like that.

I had a St. Bernard who would occasionally dig herself in like that. She would be so proud of what she’d done, then get the “OK what do I do now” look.
