Yeah, Jon! Keep up!

It’s actually almost 45 years

Eyy the birthday arc is upon us

Garfield: oldest cat in the universe. Proving that pizza and lasagna are the healthiest foods. (For cartoon cats, anyway.) Snoopy is even older; I wonder what he eats?

Has it been that long. I remember when Jim Davis was starting with his Garfield strip and I had him autograph a book. Time flies.

Jon’s a little slow .Garfield looks good for 45. Jon looks pretty good for a guy who’s gotta be well past 60 by now. Cartoon biology.

Can you imagine an actual 45 year old cat?

IIRC the first Garfield strip was June 19, 1978. So we’re a couple days early for Garfield’s birthday.

Your not very good at it Garfield if it taken 44+ years to do it, that or Jon is well tolerable to you.

45 years eh. Me never knews cat lives that long?

Jon has a very steep learning curve.

That long! Seems like only yesterday a late friend and I were waiting for it to debut in the local paper.

45 is a remarkable age for a cat. His 675 cat years is unimaginable. Could Garfield be lying about his age? Is he hiding the truth in a lie? And all the while pretending to be aghast at Jon’s profundity?

Have you really been around that long, Garfield?

Garfield is the Walt Wallet (Gasoline Alley) of feline comicdom. Walt was born in 1899 and is still a regular presence in his strip. But in cat years, Garfield being botn in 1978 might just have the edge in terms of longevity.
