Reminds me of the time Archie Bunker was fixing to take a load of wash to the cleaners for Edith and she said to be sure to separate the coloureds from the whites. Mike said, “Archie would never forget to separate the coloureds from the whites!”

One chevron= Private
One chevron and a rocker= Private First Class
Two chevrons= A Corporal
Three chevrons= A Sergeant
Three chevrons and a rocker= Staff Sergeant
Three chevrons and two rockers= Sergeant First Class
Three chevrons, three rockers= Master Sergeant
Three chevrons, three rockers and a diamond= First Sergeant
Three chevrons, three rockers and a star= Sergeant Major
No such thing, now or in WWII, as two chevrons and a rocker. Is he supposed to be a Corporal First Class?

Joe I am an American living in Canada so I am trying to spell things the Canadian way. I live in London Ontario and no one I’ve met says oot or aboot, it’s more like oat and aboat. Maybe in other provinces they pronounce it oot and aboot but not here.
Some of Skeezix’s chevrons & rockers have fallen off over the years or, come off in the wash.
He’s really too senile to make a speech if he forgot that he couldn’t wash a wool uniform.
