@Unca ScroogeI appreciate your comments the other day regarding the age of Walt Wallet. I’ll admit that I was uncomfortable with the idea of a 19 year old marrying a woman who seemed so much older than he was. It is only the readers who assume that Walt was born in 1900, although some say it was 1899. In the strip for June 6, 2002, Walt only says, “I was born in the year of Our Lord Only Knows.” We may never find the real answer, because the strip never gives the year of birth for either Walt or Phyllis. So I’m still maintaining the idea that he doesn’t need to die or even become a resident of the Old Comics Home. Scancarelli can keep him around as long as he wants, as one of the ageless characters in the strip, like Joel and Rufus.

Lets see. Estimate 15 seconds to write out each ‘I will not …’, Calculating… That will take about 21 hours of writing. I bet she won’t forget that mistake.

Why “only” 5,000 times. If he’d waited as many years as he claimed, I would have recommended at least 2,000 for each year waited, plus 5,000 for her “fine”.
