Clarification: does “official” mean “the only acceptable one”?

Actually, as Sarah, our old cat would say [she had once pounced on a whole steak frying on the stove, ran under the dragon-footed bathtub and proceeded to growl warningly as she devoured the whole thing], “The best cat food is that which you steal from the humans!”

Uh oh, is Codex looking to meow mix it up? What happens in Salmon Bowl stays in Salmon Bowl. ( It is Eternal, after all.)

Way to go Bucky. You spent all that time and effort to get at the endless bowl of salmon treats, and you blew it with the tuna comment. If Satch did that, Bucky would’ve slapped him.

This is the reason cats are more independent than dogs. They want what they want, not you, not another cat.

Our cats eat dogs…….no actually they get on well with our dogs…….one cat will eat spaghetti over any food, and the other loves sashimi….primarily yellow tail. I can not bring sashimi, or sushi, home without nearly fighting her for it. Too expensive for her main diet…..unfortunately, my wife and I committed that unpardonable sin…….never let your pets eat human food. Our Chocolate Lab, Weatherby, literally raised the younger of the cats…..they are inseparable….and you don’t try to take the cat’s food away from her if Weatherby is around.

OUT: Tuna, IN: Salmon. I can see that bc salmon has a more complicated spelling and I haven’t heard anyone call it salmon fish yet (tuna fish is a redundancy). Salmon is the tuna of the 21st century. ;-)

I have known different cats that ate corn, potato chips, and yeast tablets. Guess they like to be unpredictable, and individual.

Kathe – My sister-in-law had a cat who ate corn on the cob, too. But husking it herself, that’s good! (And I loved the image of a little cat paw sneaking up over the table! :) We had 2 cats, brother and sister, who liked green olives. We had taken them off a botana and wrapped them in the paper from on top of it, and put them on the bottom shelf of the fridge. The next morning, when I opened the door, the (very aggressive) female stuck her head in and pulled the packet out. I was so surprised to see them scarf down the sliced olives, would have thought they were too pungent. When the olives were gone, they rubbed their heads all over the paper, purring up a storm, like it was catnip. Who knew?
