Satchel: Buck, I actually saw what's been taking your food. Bucky: How? Satchel: I hid behind the trash for two hours and then a tiny thing came out of the hole in the wall, looked around, saw me, made an odd sound. And ran back in! Bucky: Mad an odd sound? To what end? Satchel: Well, I'm not 100% sure what it's called on a rat, but... Bucky: Aw, fer flyin' fritters.

For what it’s worth, my favorite name to call a rat’s end is a “rat’s asterisk”. “Aw, fer flyin’ fritters”… fabulously funny!! (Chuckle… I’ll never hear the phrase “to what end” the same way again.)

Rats, eh? I have a rat trap. Our dear friends’ dog “found” it over New Year’s. I knew we should have tripped it.

Bucky found Tiny T Rex! Where was he? Was Bucky looking in Inspector Pretty-Little-Find-It-All’s folds?

The tiny rats are tiny; they are not born fully grown.

The trap was out because rats were into my garden last summer. Ate half our corn, took single bites out of the tomatoes, then went next door to the neighbour’s garden to do much of the same. We caught two and had it set by the compost bin over hte winter. We also have mice and I’m wondering if we are the only ones who set traps. The neighbourhood cats are bloody useless.
