Omari Troy’s mutant powers come forth in spectacular fashion, and he too misses the rest of the season after the townsfolk converge on the gym with torches and pitchforks.
Considering that the Central player was 2-3 feet up in the air and Omari swatted him down, the call seemed rather obvious. The one time Gil does some coaching, the thug ignores him.
The kids always make bad decisions that ruin the chances of a championship, can’t this strip find some kids that can make good decisions and win a championship, geeesh.
What’s the blond haired kid looking at so intently? Is Omari crying? Why can’t we win a championship in any sport here in Milford? What lesson are they trying to teach us? That losing isn’t everything, it’s just the way it is in Milford?
To cuttersjock: CJ, your comment about Big 10 coaches from the 1980’s was epic. Subject for your approval…. Have you ever seen former Nebraska Coach Danny Nee and Dance Fever’s DennyTerrio in the same place at the same time?
In all reality, shouldn t Gil have switched defenses and defensive assignments to keep Omari from fouling out but wait Big John is checking in a the scorers table.

The ref had no choice but to call it with all of those visible shock waves from the contact.

P2 brought back some good memories. Anyone else have a set of those old “Rock-Em, Sock-Em” robots when they were little?

Darn Central Muggers now control the league! Why was “footballer” Omari shooting so much anyway? Gil’s offense sucks.

Is it too soon to say “Gil Thorp Held Hostage: Day One”?

Gil needs to develop his bench and…oh, who am I kidding. That would involve showing up.

Poor Omari. Bless his pointed little head.

Why foul? Unless the bucket was behind the Central player (shooting a reverse layup?) in P2, the shot had no chance of going in anyway.
Maybe Pascoe will get into the game now – replace one thug with another.
