My hair is ‘Nice ’n Easy’ brown. When I let it go a little, I get that white around the edges – which is called ‘distinguished’ for men and just old for women. Not fair!

My wife’s aunt still had mostly black hair when she died – at 109.

Yes, I wonder why that is Kate. I agree with you.

I’m not crazy about being gray, but it’s a nice shade of gray. It does make you look old though. But then the alternative is putting poison on your hair to keep it colored. So I guess I’ll stick with the gray.

My mothers hair turned white. Not gray, white.People asked her what she used to get that color, and she told them that is was all hers, and she earned every white hair. When I reach that age, I hope my hair (what’s left of it) is as pure white as hers was.

Who calls old age the golden years? I thought the “golden years” was equivalent to the “good old days,” “when you and I were young, Molly,” and such. You know, when you WERE a spring chicken. Sorry, Gramma, your golden years have LONG passed. You’re even passed the “silver threads among the gold.”
