Two of my cousins, well cousin and wife, work for German entities but are in the USA, she for the German government and he for an auto manufacturer. They retain their German citizenship and their German benefits. 6 week vacation, 2 week honeymoon vacation, paid Xmas shutdown, and every 5 years a 6 week sabbatical, along with a 30 – 35 hour week. I’ll not get into the other benefits of working in a civilised country. Now that I am “semi-retired” I get less time off than they do. But, and this is a big but, I do work a 20 hour week.
