The generation that is around to enjoy the freedoms and benefits secured by the Greatest Generation and expand and build on them. The Greatest Generation had a segregated military. The USA now has an African-American SECDEF. Government, both employees and elected officials, is slowly becoming more representative of society. There are still white guys in office and on the job, but there are also humans of all genders and all backgrounds in government and that number is growing in the USA and Canada.
No one born between ‘48 & ’58 has been a major party candidate for President or Veep. We got wasted & didn’t designate a driver. “Boomer” is also slang for ballistic missile submarines, also capable of running the future into a ditch.
