No, the boxes are virtual reality boxes, borrowed from Oliver Wendel Jones. The boxes only appear as solid objects because of the shifting of astral light projection.

i think tatulli has failed to do his homework. i don’t believe in astral projection, but for the reader to sustain belief while reading the writer has to be consistent in his fiction. this is not

People that practice witchcraft can astral project and Mark Tatulli is promoting witchcraft. He is in error whether knowingly or unknowingly. I will delete Heart of the City from my favorites.

I have tried astral projection several times (always failing), but I know you can’t grab solid object since you are basically a ghost.
