Yes and you will live. Took 3 times, but this giant theropod was after me and caught me. With each dream getting close. The last dream with it I was in a cave, wearing a jet pack and equipment all around and that damn lizard right on top of me. (I must have been thinking about "Sky Capt. and the World of Tomorrow.)
So I had limited space and the thing caught me when I landed, the jaws closed then blackness then I wake up! At least the 2nd time I have died in a dream. The other time I can remember was 2 decades before that when I had a heart attack in the dream.
You can die in your dreams. Happens to me about 2 or 3 times a week. Some times it will happen multiple times in a single night. Still remember the fist time it happened. I was kidnapped and enslaved by this large group of flying apes. they had a lot of slaves and some type of device that shot lightning from their hands, but they could only aim at one person at a time. I organised and led the revolt. I died early in the attack, but woke up with the knowledge that the human slaves had gotten free, even though I had died before the battle was won.
