Okay I was iffy on the game of telephone thing.. but I like this. That this wacky misunderstanding.. gets Heart invested in the show and thus the theater takes a break on a high note.
My grandniece was in the 6th grade musical play, ‘Finding Nemo Jr.’ The Jr. tag is Disney plays for schools, civic groups, etc. Last year the 5th grade did ‘Moana Jr.’.
I am assuming that’s a CD of the soundtrack, as opposed to a DVD or Blu-Ray of the full show – and even if it was video, it wouldn’t be much of a guide as to “how to do the show” unless it was the Broadway version, and I doubt anyone would have authorized a video recording of it.
Are there places in this country where the school board decides whether a program is cut? Around here it is up the the district administrators to submit their budget for the final approval by the board. But a lot ot the decisions are vetted with the interested parties (parents, unions) before the proposals are finalized and submitted.

A popular fictional character does have a lot of power.

Don’t most musicals have versions that are edited for High School performances.

As a good friend of mine says, “acquired in a highly legal manner.”

I doubt anyone Heart’s age knows how to burn a CD with files from the internet. And who has a PC they could do that with these days anyway?
