15 years ago on this date thousands of people died in the worst attack on the United States. Only 3 of the 17 strips that I read daily referenced this horrific event (Nancy, Maxine, and Wizard of ID). Why did Heathcliff not reference this event and honor those who died or those who helped those who did survive and tried to rescue others?
C’mon—Heathcliff lives in Westfinster fairyland. One should never trivialize real world horrific, devastating events, and alluding to them in a comic strip could do just that—makes it seem more like a mockery.
