I was on a medical call once, when I saw the ambulance driver stop in the tattoo shop next to the address of the call (He wasn’t a paramedic.) When he came out I said “Let me guess- ‘Mother!’” he said he was getting his wife’s face done on his back. I said “Wow! THAT’S commitment!” (P.S. They’re divorced now!) I told that story to a guy I knew, and he said “That’s nothing. I have a tombstone with both our names on it as my coffee table.” He said his wife wanted it, so they got it.

That would make it simpler because of the tattoo, but now you have to find another Yanette..

I’ve heard the most tattoo parlors won’t do any name but “Mom” or “Mother”.

I don’t love ANYONE that much to get some tattoo for that very same reason!

My Uncle (back during WW2) got his “girl back home’s”name tattooed on his arm. It was NOT my Aunt’s name….it was quite painful to have removed.

This provides some insight into why “the widow next door” insisted that every one of her husbands had to be named “Henry.”
