New Sunday intro art. A quick funny before the actual strip (Nobody does this anymore!! Why?!). A funny food-related quip. This is how Sunday comics SHOULD be done!
In Security has become my favorite comic strip, and Sedine is on her way to becoming a classic comic heroine. I especially like the 1950s-ish MAD Magazine drawing style with its exaggerated plots, actions and emotions.
There’s an explanation for why cats treat the bowl as empty when it’s not: whisker fatigue. Whiskers are very sensitive and a cat’s proximity sensors. When the bowl is deep, they have to push their face down further to get at the last of the food. Their whiskers touch the edge of the bowl, which is uncomfortable for them.
The solution is wide and shallow bowls and dishes to provide clearance for the whiskers. Some have a raised area at the back to help contain messes. Non-skid feet on the bottom will help it stay in place. If it is raised up off the ground by about 5", it can help prevent vomiting and reduce neck strain by having the food and water at a level where their mouth and stomachs are aligned.

I always imaged Ow would sound like Chopper from One Piece. Both seem just as naive, wonder if Ow loves cotton candy too?

We have 5 cats and one large communal bowl
Everything is fine as long as there is food in that bowl, but if any part of the bottom is exposed they all freak out and think it’s empty
