Guess as far as Sedine’s Dad is concerned, it is the clothes. Everyone is dressed up except El and Hubbs – they are in jeans. Ha!

And as usual, El and Hubbs have no idea about social standards. It is not about you, you block heads, you need to conform to certain standards, and in this case, it is the dress code you must conform to.

I don’t think anyone understand what Sedine’s dad is trying to say.

Sedine’s dad is not talking about proper dress for Thanksgiving imo…it’s possible, because he’s a vague and clueless man who thinks he is neither, but the tenor of today’s strip does not confirm that interpretation, especially his use of changed in air quotes. It also follows yesterday’s strip where he thinks El/Al and Hubbs are a gay couple…

If Mrs. Sedine’s Mom is really “outta here,” then maybe casual dress is a good thing.
