Something I find interesting is that this series was from January 16, 2017 the third week for the Strip on Go Comics. Yet, there is no big change in the art work from then to present strips – it was and continues to be stellar.
There are two kinds of cartoonists. Some, it is the joke – and the artwork is secondary. Some, the artwork is just as important and often brings out richer humor because of it. (This strip is in this class)
Usually when a cartoonist gets along in their strip, they learn certain “economies” to reduce the work load, or because they learn to be more efficient in how they produce their craft, or at least there is some pressure to do so. BeaR does not seem to be under this sort of pressure, and some of that is probably because her husband helps here with the finishing. So here is hoping he is well on the way to being whole again, and that BeaR is getting geared up for more.
