Edgar Bergin and Charley McCarthy were a big radio sensation. But on film/TV you could see Bergin’s lips move and he was not a good ventriloquist except on RADIO!

I remember Gunsmoke on the radio, considering who played Marshall Dillion, it’s good thing it was radio.
