Offside
I remember the game well. If my memory is as good as I think it is, it was played on a Saturday afternoon, back when they still played games on Saturday afternoons (After the college season was over).
If you give the fnas the amunition, they will use it, especially if their Jets or Giants are playing poorly.

At first, I thought they were eggs…and the fans were just egging them on. Must be Washington.

When you stop and think about it…those are ugly fans…worse than the ones who toss iceballs at the Meadowlands.

Do they still do that?
In 1995, my San Diego Chargers got pelted with hundreds of ice balls thrown by New York Giants fans.
Sid Brooks, the Chargers equipment manager, was knocked out; and over a dozen people on the field were injured.
265 fans were either arrested, ejected or lost their season tickets.
Shaun Gayle, Chargers strong safety, returned an interception 99 yards; and was bombed with snowballs all the way to the end zone.
Chargers won the game 27-17.
The NFL then ruled that all snow and ice has to be removed from the seats before fans are allowed in the stadium.
Chargers fans have not forgotten that game.
