In Texas some homeowners association boards have foreclosed on paid for $400,000 homes for failure to pay $1000 dues. They then sold the houses to speculators for a fraction of their worth. Then board remembers bought the houses back for just a little more. The Texas legislature won’t pass laws to stop this practice.

I had to paint my address on my recycling bin and garbage cans, otherwise if they blew down the street in a wind storm I would never see them again.
