How dare people build what they want on property they own! I’m outraged!
I imagine you would be outraged if someone built a fertilizer plant next to your house just because they owned the land.
Or a slaughterhouse.
People can’t build some nasty industry next to your house because of zoning laws. I don’t think a Mosque in New York violates their city zoning laws. And “near” is a relative term. Yes, i can be thought of as in bad taste, but that’s not illegal.
