    FairportFan…at least a flashback….I’m a bit confused cos I don’t remember seeing it before.

But…. setting up a snack station on Jane’s desk??

Isn’t that like putting a hungry wolf in charge of the hen house?

Or hiring Larry the Croc to babysit an infant Zebra?

Paige, needs to wake up and ask herself if she’s going to be a full time cartoonist or go corporate with Peanuts. Stop stringing us around with these on again off again story lines.

Plenty of other cartoonists manage to put up 5 day a week cartoons and they aren’t published anywhere but the web or books they put out themselves. She has a gig with syndicated papers and she’s blowing it by constantly interrupting her stories with past stuff. It makes it very confusing, and dull to people who remember the first time she ran the stories. This is the first gay-themed work to receive distribution by a national media syndicate, and she’s casting a bad light on the LBGT community by being flaky with her stories.

Jeez, guys. Don’t like it there’s still Pearls before Swine or the one with the little kid. Give a girl a break.

Gosh… I’ve said this till I’m blue in the face…here and on a couple of other strips. Night-gaunt said it, so did a few others…. Paige does this for free!

When re-runs are inserted, and new arcs start and stop, that’s apparently OK according to her deal with the syndicate….Jane’s World takes a LOT of time to plot and draw… Obviously Paige hasn’t the time to create “enough” new strips for your taste … Maybe she’s just too busy to have the inspiration…

but what she does produce is excellent. The strip is very good, and apparently Universal would rather have it part time than not all all.

    Me too!

YOU’RE NOT OFFERING TO PAY to read it, or offering Paige a salary to work at it full time, which she therefore has to do elsewhere.

Her job with Schulz is very demanding… PLUS she’s involved in other creative work, with them and with Jane AND with other artists. If you want MORE…. put your money where your mouth is, and buy the books!

Even “Pro” members like me are paying 99¢ a MONTH for more strips than we can read….The subscription just covers seeing it without ads.

Please enjoy what you get….and get over the idea that any cartoonist, or any artist… any musician or other creative person, somehow owes you more work than he or she can produce (or is paid for.)

What if Rembrandt had only ever painted two canvases…. would you refuse to see them?

Or what if your friends told you that you have a disappointing work ethic, because whatever hours you put in at YOUR job, you just won’t put in another 20 or 30 a week for free?

Get real!Creative people give what they can… and I’m grateful.

Of course, I would get back here on a Friday night…If you do see this…excuse me, please, when I post it on the next Jane as well.

I just can’t understand why some people try to make a cartoonist who gives generously of her time and talent feel guilty for not giving them even more!

Chireef… I don’t want to let Larry babysit zebra OR a baby zebra punch out Larry. .. maybe. .But most dangerous of all would be letting Jane guard my snacks.

    And thanks. .
