When I hear a honk, I interpret it as a possible danger and take a second look to see what I missed. Thus, honking at me does slow me down, even though 90% of the honks at traffic lights are intended as “why don’t you go now”. I need a honk back signal that says “there’s a pedestrian in the way that I can see but you can’t”
