Interesting question: If some stranger takes a shot at me, damaging the building, do I get dinged for the repair costs? It wasn’t my fault, but then it wasn’t the landlord’s fault, either.

Maybe it’s just me but if I’m renting to a magical wizard and he asks for his security deposit back, I would give it to him out of fear of the consequences.
