My personal bottle battle thoughts: As one teeters on the border between sober and drunk, not wanting to drink more but savoring the odd and interesting way the mind begins to work due to alcohol, the bottle is the nearest object and strange ideas about it swirl. Write them down right then, because in a few minutes they will become incomprehensible later. .Alcohol and other drugs are sometimes stimuli that artists and writers use to “loosen up.” Fortunate the artists and writers that don’t use and abuse them. Eventually the drink or drug takes the man.
