More and more Latinos are celebrating their heritage by thinking (and voting) independently.

I’m not Latino, but I honor Los San Patricios, and I have a green chili / Irish boiling bacon (home-made!) / cabbage / serrano / cilantro / nopales / tomatillo / nixtamal stew (I don’t buy canned hominy!). Anyone can make it. Just let the corn cook for a while, drain it, and throw everything else in.

I just discovered the comic: aaggghhh, here on GoComics. It’s a Spanish language comic when it has text, but mostly it’s graphical. It has been very funny and very different from everything else. I’ll call it my Latino Heritage Month observance.

I think I did more “Latino” stuff than that. Just be who you are. That’s the American way. :)

Latinos, along with all people of color, Asian, olive skinned, black, brown, etc., should put aside any prejudices they might have within the non-white community to defeat the WASP bigotry and racism tRump and his supporters bring. Many of us have dealt with the slurs and disrespect throughout our lives, but tRump is a genuine threat to turn those into actions against minorities. tRump has promised that threat. And quite possibly the unified effort to defeat the bigotry, racism and fear peddling hatred that White Anglo-Saxons bring might make this great Nation what it is supposed to be. All being equal.
