If he wanted to avoid an argument, he’d have opted for the stock certificates. The records of what he owns would still be with the brokerage, so no loss. Of course, after that, he might want to weigh whether he wants to stay with her at all, because she is nuts! And assuming the premise is true (and no, I don’t feel like googling it), so is the original American Indian custom they’re fighting over.
